Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - I was waiting for DNN 5 to add this to a live site. I set the module deploy permissions so that only administrators could use it, and put it in the administrator menu. Great way to test what a user can see, especially when you have lots of different roles in your site... I had no issues with the beta release.. but it'd be nice to have official release!

Hi,
Moodle (moodle.org) has a feature like this but it is extended a little more: the admin has to possibility to logout from an user. Take a look at the following picture: http://www.unitbv.ro/cata/idswitcher.JPG. The admin [web services] is logged in as a certain user [....] but also has the possibility to logout from that user (please note the logout near the user's name)

Would it be possible to add something like this ?

The 'Switch to user' dropdownlist is unsorted or not sorted by username.
When you've got a lot of users in your portal it's (almost) impossible to find the user you need.

Good suggestion, something i also found out myself. Current sorting is on userid ..

Project Description
The IdentitySwitcher is a simple, but very useful tool when it comes to DNN Module Development. Using this module you can easily switch between users, without knowing their passwords. Even switching to host users is supported (must be allowed by the host user)

NB: Due to a name conflict with a commercial module, the name of this project was changed from UserSwitcher to IdentitySwitcher
